He is the famous “Jimmy” of Indian Pop Band AASMA that made its mark with “Chandu Ke Chacha” in the early years of the decade.
This extravagant cross-cultural wedding of the Christ believer Jimmy Felix with a Bong Beauty Samaira (from Delhi) took place at Holiday Inn Goa and was kept as a close-knit affair.
The ceremonies held over two days looked like FOREVER filled with everlasting memories; beautifully planned ceremonies; closest friends, extended families and select guests who made their presence for the celebrations andddd of course…. Jimmy x Samaira cordial gestures!
Mehendi
A sundowner Mehendi ceremony looked splendid in these vibrant colors. Samaira’s chic look is winsome!
The Proposal
“You are the music of my soul, now and forever”, says Jimmy to Samaira.
Jimmy expresses his feelings for Samaira and makes a proposal by presenting the ring to his princess. It is a soul-stirring moment to hear someone speak his heart for the love of his life. Jimmy you are a gem we know of !
The Sangeet Night
Tis’ no less than a Soulful Sangeet Night one would dream of? And it’s a definite exception!
A night it was that saw some incredible performances from many renowned singers and performers of the country as they were all present at the JimSam wedding.
The entire sangeet was choreographed by Jimmy’s close friend, Farah Pavri from Rockstars.
Neeti Mohan who’s like a family for Jimmy, mesmerised the audience not just with her magical voice, but also with her immaculate dancing skills.
The guests were seen swaying to the soulful music of Bhaven Dhanak, Harish Moyal, Anusha Mani, Sandeep Batra, Priyanka Negi, DNT the band and many more. Jimmy was seen cheering and whistling the loudest for them.
The highlight of the night was a special performance by AASMA comprising of Jimmy himself along with his partners Neeti Mohan, Sangeet Haldipur, Vasuda Sharma and the incredibly stylish Parsheen Irani. They sang their superhit songs like ‘Tumse hi pyar’ and ‘Chandu ke chacha’.
Sangeet Haldipur who Jimmy always refers him as his sibling, sang one of his own bollywood composition ‘Mohabbat’, Vasuda Sharma did a beautiful mashup of ‘Inteha ho gayi and Toxic’ and Parsheen sang Samaira’s favourite song ‘Thinking out loud’ and dedicated to the couple as they danced together.
A party that continued till 5 am saw DJ Sam rocking the house.
Baraat
Charming Jimmy vrooms to meet his Goddess-like Samaira in this Classic Beauty… It’s a STEAL!!
There were literal showers of blessings as the heavens opened up for an hour during the baraat that was a classy ‘vintage car’ theme affair.
And despite the slight drizzle the baratis, especially Jimmy’s friends were not letting the beats of the dhol stop even after reaching the welcome gate where Samaira’s father Mr Suhas Paul was waiting to recieve his son (as he likes to call him instead of son-in-law).
Wedding & Reception
The wedding & reception was a classy ‘French Garden Theme’ night with a stunningly beautiful decor. Guests and relatives of Samaira who came from USA, London, Denmark, Dubai and Singapore were seen enjoying the night of live unplugged music where almost 10 singers (Jimmy’s close friends) performed their favourite numbers. It was a treat to watch Jimmy finally take up his guitar and dedicate a song for his princess Samaira, a moment that everyone was waiting for.
Jimmy makes a special mention and tells us, “Gunjan (Utreja) is a true rockstar who despite being on a wheelchair and in tremendous pain, not only came to attend the wedding but also single handedly hosted both Sangeet and Reception nights and rocked it. He’s bigger than a superstar.”
The entire wedding was designed, planned and executed by Jimmy’s best friend, the award winning wedding planner, Ankur Gor of Tulip Touch. His work and hospitality was praised by one and all.
The celebrations do not end here for we know how Jimmy x Samaira are.. in fact it’s Just Begun! Here’s wishing them both a Blissful Life!
