#A2Z – Aashna to Zubin is an arranged marriage set up.
Zubin Mehta, son of Blossom & Nitin Mehta – born & brought up in Mumbai, owner of MECORDS India LTD., the largest Indian manufacturer of woven Tire-Reinforcing Technical Textiles, Industrial Fabrics & Specialty Fabrics while Aashna Varma daughter of Arun & Mini Varma is born & brought up in Delhi.
The couple met via family friends and it hit-it off from there.
Zubin and Aashna met a few times in Mumbai as well as in Delhi to learn that they were truly meant for each other. Their growing fondness for each other lead to the beautiful breathtaking roka for a select few close family members and friends at the Taj Lands End, Chambers Room followed by an extravagant celebration at the Taj Lands End Ballroom, the onset of the #A2Z celebrations.
The Proposal at Taj Exotica Maldives
Zubin, being more of a planner by nature between the both of them, formally proposed to Aashna , in none other than one of the most picturesque & uber romantic destinations of the world, Maldives, making it larger than life !!!
The groom planned a pre-wedding shoot in Maldives at the Taj Exotica, where in the gorgeous bride Aashna was proposed to on this private boat with champagne, flowers and The Ring ! – Yes , Aashna was surprised, what seemed like a pre wedding shoot in Maldives, actually turned out to be a beautifully planned proposal that lead into the shoot !

YOLO: Simply fallen in Love with this regal city, its inherent beauty and its cultured people!!! WED Tease: How many days in planning this regal wedding? Any learnings you made about the destination?
YOLO: We started planning the #A2Z celebrations in October 2017, a turn around of personalisations from pin to piano on every front with a lot of attention to the minutest of details took us about three and a half months to curate !!
The #A2Z extravaganza began on the 19th of Jan, 2018 !!!
The city is a beautiful destination to work in with extremely hard working and helpful wedding makers that make up the local industry there ! With systematic planning in advance, one can achieve their dream in this Regal City !!!!

YOLO: Jodhpur saw 400 of the creme de la creme of the Mumbai circuit – Kamlesh and Kaushika Hemdev, Maheka Mirpuri, Aly & Yasmin Morani, Kailash & Aarti Surendranath, Kamaal and Shoma Basu to name a few amongst the many others… as well their esteemed guests from across the globe.
Mohamed & Lucky Morani, Vindu Daara Singh, Poonam Dhillon, Captain Vinod Nair & Tulip Joshi amongst many others were seen enjoying themselves at this grand soiree!
The beautiful city of Jodhpur was booked completely by Mr. Nitin Mehta , guests were hosted at most reputed properties in the city namely; The Umaid Bhawan Palace, Hari Mahal by Taj, Ajit Bhawan, Marriott Fairfield Hotel, Raas Hotels, Radisson Green were the hotels booked out for the guests.
The reception was held in Mumbai at Jade Gardens in Worli for over 1,000 guests from across the world and the who’s who of the social circuit attending the functions with elan.

– Chartered Jet flights were personalised to the wedding theme
– Guests were put up in the best properties all over Jodhpur such as The Umaid Bhawan Palace, Ajit Bhawan, Hari Mahal by Taj, Raas Hotels, Radisson Green & Marriott.
– Guests arrived in open air vintage cars. Every detail was looked into to ensure the guests have a royal time.
